Basic life support (BLS) is a level of medical care which is used for victims of life-threatening illnesses or injuries until they can be given full medical care at a hospital. It is provided by trained emergency medical technicians (EMT) in the pre-hospital setting.

Our BLS ambulances are staffed by certified Emergency Medical Technicians who are trained to provide BLS skills including, but not limited to:

All EMT’s and BLS Ambulances fully comply with all Pennsylvania Department of Health regulations.

Patients with limited physical mobility, receive assistance to assure safe arrival to any appointment. Our services include, but not limited to:

• Interfacility transports
• Pulmonary, cardiac, and orthopedic rehabilitation

Tri State EMS has the resources to transport a patient and family members comfortably in a ground ambulance while providing skilled medical care, at a cost significantly below that of air transportation. We coordinate all logistics involved in transporting a patient over long distances at the basic levels of care.

We are pleased to offer transport services for bariatric patients. Our medical transport personnel undergo training for both the unique needs that these patients have and the specialized equipment required for optimal patient comfort and safety. Our bariatric ambulances are spacious and are equipped with specialized gurneys that are designed to accommodate larger patients.

We proudly provide committed ambulance standby support during sporting events, community gatherings, concerts, fairs, parades, and other public and private events in Philadelphia, Montgomery, Chester, Delaware and Bucks Counties. Our highly trained and proficient EMTs are quick to respond to immediate emergency action.
